Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the notification for Technical Assistant Group C Main Examination 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 2759 posts of Technical Assistant Group C under the Agriculture Directorate. Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and possess a valid PET-2025 scorecard are eligible to apply.
UPSSSC ne Technical Assistant Group C (प्राविधिक सहायक ग्रुप-सी) ke 2759 पदों ke liye notification jari kiya hai. Sirf PET-2025 mein shamil huye candidates hi apply kar sakte hain.

Application Fee
Candidates need to pay an online process fee at the time of application. The main exam fee will be paid separately by shortlisted candidates before downloading their admit card.

The age limit is calculated as of 01 July 2026.

- Age relaxation will be applicable as per UPSSSC rules for reserved categories.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a valid Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) Score Card issued by UPSSSC.
- Candidates with a zero or negative score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the main examination.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or equivalent degree from a recognized institution/university in India. This includes B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture / B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry / B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), or a four-year degree in B.Sc. (Home Science) / Community Science provided by an Agriculture and Technology University.
Selection Process
The selection process for UPSSSC Technical Assistant Group C posts will be based on a Written Examination (Main Exam). There will be no interview for these posts.
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination based on their normalized score in PET-2025. Approximately 15 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be called for the main exam.
- Written Examination:
- The exam will consist of one question paper with 100 objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- Total duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 25% (1/4th) for each incorrect answer.
- Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
- Part-1 (Agriculture): 65 Questions, 65 Marks (Crop Science, Biotechnology, Soil & Water Management, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Economics & Schemes, Animal Husbandry & Dairy Science)
- Part-2 (Computer & Information Technology): 15 Questions, 15 Marks
- Part-3 (General Knowledge related to Uttar Pradesh): 20 Questions, 20 Marks
- Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks
How to Apply / How to Check
Candidates can apply online through the official UPSSSC website. Follow these steps:
- Visit the official website upsssc.gov.in.
- Go to the ‘Live Advertisement Segment’ on the homepage and click on the relevant advertisement number 06-परीक्षा/2026.
- Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number. You may need to verify through OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.
- Your personal details from PET-2025 will be displayed automatically. Fill in the mandatory educational qualification details.
- Your photo and signature from PET-2025 will also appear automatically. You cannot change them.
- Fill in other details, if any, and select preferences. Read the declaration carefully and tick all checkboxes.
- Proceed to pay the online application process fee using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI E-Challan.
- After successful fee payment, your application form will be automatically submitted. Download and print a copy of your submitted application form for future reference.
- Candidates can modify certain details in their application form until the last date of amendment (18 June 2026) by logging into their dashboard.
