Age Limit
- Minimum Age for Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Prahari: 18 Years
- Minimum Age for Assistant Jail Superintendent: 21 Years
- Maximum Age (General Male): 33 Years
- Maximum Age (Female UR, SC/ST/OBC/Govt. Employees/Home Guard): 38 Years
- Age calculation will be done as on 01 January 2026.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules.

Physical Eligibility Standards:
- Forest Guard / Field Guard:
- Male Height: 163 cm (152 cm for SC/ST candidates)
- Female Height: 150 cm (145 cm for SC/ST candidates)
- Male Chest: 79 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion)
- Walking Test: Male 25 km in 4 hours, Female 14 km in 4 hours.
- Jail Prahari:
- Male Height: 165 cm
- Female Height: 158 cm
- Male Chest: 83 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion)
- Physical Efficiency Test: 800m race, Shot Put (Male: 20 feet with 7.260 kg, Female: 16 feet with 4.000 kg).
- Assistant Jail Superintendent:
- Male Height: 168 cm
- Female Height: 155 cm
- Male Chest: 84 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion to 89 cm)
- Physical Efficiency Test: 800m race, Long Jump (Male: 13 feet, Female: 10 feet), Shot Put (Male: 19 feet with 7.260 kg, Female: 15 feet with 4.000 kg).
- Candidates must have normal eyesight and no physical disabilities like knock-knee or flat foot.
Selection Process
The selection process for these posts includes two main stages:
- **Written Examination:** An online objective-type exam conducted by Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MP ESB). The syllabus for Forest Guard, Field Guard, and Jail Prahari will be 10th standard level, and for Assistant Jail Superintendent, it will be Graduate level.
- **Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Walking Test:** Conducted by the respective recruiting departments (Forest Department or Jail Department). This stage is qualifying in nature.
A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination for candidates who successfully qualify the physical tests.
