- Visit the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India using your mobile phone, laptop, or computer with an internet connection.
- On the homepage, go to the Aadhaar services section and open the MyAadhaar Portal where all Aadhaar online services are available.
- Find the option called “Download Aadhaar” and click on it to open the Aadhaar download page.
- After the page opens, you will see three options to download your Aadhaar: Aadhaar Number, Enrollment ID (EID), or Virtual ID (VID).
- Select the option that you want to use for downloading your Aadhaar card. Most people choose the Aadhaar Number option.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number carefully in the required field. Make sure the number is correct to avoid errors during the download process.
- After entering the Aadhaar number, type the security captcha code that appears on the screen. This code helps verify that the request is being made by a real user.
- Once the captcha is entered correctly, click on the “Send OTP” button to continue the verification process.
- An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number that is registered with your Aadhaar card.
- Check your mobile phone and note the OTP that you received through SMS.
- Enter the OTP in the verification box on the Aadhaar download page.
- After entering the OTP, click on the “Verify and Download” option to continue.
- Once the OTP is verified successfully, the e-Aadhaar will automatically download to your device in PDF format.
- Open the downloaded PDF file from your device storage or downloads folder.
- The file will ask for a password before opening because the e-Aadhaar is protected for security reasons.
- Enter the password in this format: the first four capital letters of your name followed by your birth year.
- For example, if the name is Rahul and the birth year is 1995, the password will be RAHU1995.
- After entering the correct password, your e-Aadhaar will open and you can view all your Aadhaar details.
- You can also print the e-Aadhaar if you want to keep a physical copy for identification or verification purposes.
